The nexonar solution uses infra-red active tag technology and proprietary software to monitor the precise positions and orientations of objects on the assembly line. The IR active tags are easily applied to components, tools, and operator apparel such as gloves or wristbands. These sensors are monitored using one or several IR cameras installed on the line. The nexonar software then guides the process sequence, providing operators with the right steps and eliminating the possibility of errors to help them complete each task efficiently and with optimal quality. It also registers the position of each part during assembly to ensure total traceability.
Desoutter has been working with nexonar since 2017, so there is already a strong relationship on which to build. The full integration of the nexonar solution into the established Desoutter ecosystem will make it easier to use and simpler to install on assembly lines. Our customers will benefit from the combined expertise inherent in both companies, particularly in Process Control, Operator Guidance, and Software Interface turnkey solutions, as well as improved global service and responsiveness to market needs.
Working together, we will help our customers to take the next step in Smart Assembly and boost productivity, quality, and safety.
